I wasn’t mad before, now I am.
by D.O.
Ok, I just wrote a real nice clever post about how I wasn’t depressed despite what my previous post led you to believe, and then I followed it all up with a few pictures of my current living situation. It was really good. I elaborated on all the pictures, told you what I liked about the steeple across the street… man. Well then, for the first time in this history of my blogging (both blogger and wordpress combined), everything was lost. Just gone. So now I really am a little depressed, but not because I hate Philadelphia, but rather because I’m mad that you missed out on the masterpiece I’m not willing to recreate. Man. Really. I’m mad. Here are your pictures. One’s the house. One’s the view to the right, one’s the view to the left. I’m done here.

Holy crap. Really. I’m mad. Do you think I’m okay with those two bottom pictures touching? Of course I’m not, but I can’t fix it. WordPress, you are not my friend today. You’re not.
in spite of how crappy you believe this is, i enjoy the pictures. i would enjoy the masterpiece you created before, but this will do. it looks cool there, not as in temperature, but the surroundings.
i’m sorry wordpress is a jerk today, but your pictures are tight. we the nalls miss D.O. but are glad you like philly! keep us posted on your first weekend!

D.O. – Don’t panic. Take a deep breath. Relax. Don’t sweat the small stuff — and loosing a cleaverly worded post may cause your nerves to unravel some, but it is really a small thing in life’s big picture. God can use everythings in our lives to teach us if we will let Him. He can use frustration, disappointment, failure, success, grief, happiness, joy and the list is endless. Remember that our God is sovereign. Everything that happens has its purpose and reason. We may not understand the “whys” at the moment (and we may never under why some things happen becausse God is not obligated to explain His ways to us) but we can trust the One who why because He is sovereign. He is still on His throne. He is in control. And, He is coming again soon to complete what He started. I hope and pray that your adventure in Philly will be a time where you will allow the Lord to guide you. Allow Him to guide you daily moment by moment. Trust Him in the “small stuff” as well as the big. Allow His perfect love to flow through you daily to the people around you. I believe that God has a plan and purpose for your internship there in Philly which is bigger than anything you can imagine. God can use you to may a difference in the lives of maybe someone you meet riding public transit or walking down the street. As a believer in Jesus Christ you may be the only “Jesus” they will ever meet. Don’t let the “small” inconveniences and frustrations of daily living in a high tech world rob you of the opportunity to demonstrate the difference Jesus makes in your life. How can we convince the poeple around us that Jesus can make an eternal difference in their life if they don’t see the reality of that marvelous trust at work in us? I like what Dr. Chuck Swindoll said in his booklet on attitude. He described attitude as about 10% what happens and 90% how we respond to it. While I hope to read soon about your reflections about the steeple and see the pictures of your living quarters, I am more interested in seeing and hearing about what Christ is teaching you about Himself in your daily life. Love, uncle stan
It was a real treat talking to you this afternoon. Looking forward to more pictures and stories about your adventure. Love you,
i know the feelings you are experiencing.
does the tag not work?
what about the or set [make sure you remove the spaces on these]?
ah! it still ate my tags. hrmph.
the first was the “br/” tag, and the second was “P” & “/P” and the third was “DIV” and “/DIV”. make sure you add “” around those.
i give up. i need to not try to type out code visibly in an entry form ruled by a CSS.
D.O.!! We miss you so!
I liked looking at the pics, sad the other one got lost…
